CHICAGO -- Across the city of Chicago today, there was a strong shows of support for the Cubs.
Despite the dreary weather, The W has been displayed prominently across the city helping to spread happiness to fans all across the area.
The W flew proudly around Wrigleyville of course but also in the windows of the Merchandise Mart, along the river downtown and while businesses in the Loop showed plenty of Cubbie Blue.
Most of the city seems to be decked out in support for the team, and thanks to one die hard Chicago fan, Cubs support was also flapping above one of Cleveland’s most notable landmarks: The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Last night after the Cubs win, Joe Trost managed to get onto an upper deck of the building to fly the `W` above the Indians flag.
Joe says this morning the `W` had been replaced by a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame flag, but hopefully the mojo is already out there.
It certainly seemed to work last time.
During the NLCS, Joe took a service road up to the Hollywood sign and flew the W there at a time when the Cubs had been shut out by the L.A. Dodgers. After that flag flew, the Cubs went on to win games 4, 5 and 6.
He hopes to find another place to fly the W after a big win tonight.
