CHICAGO — A young man gave his father, a lifelong Cubs fan, the gift of a lifetime when he surprised him with tickets to Game 3 of the World Series at Wrigley Field.
Justin Escalona, a film student at the University of Southern California, grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and has attended hundreds of Cubs games with his father.
According to DNAinfo, Escalona received the tickets from Seat Geek after reaching out to them, explaining he had always dreamed of going to a Cubs World Series game with his father.
In an emailed statement, Seat Geek said it was “a dream we had to support.”
Using his background in film, Escalona created a three-minute video showing the joyous moment shared between him and his father.
“It’s been so long since him and I have had the opportunity to do something together because I live so far away now,” Escalona told DNAinfo. “It’s an experience I’ll never forget.”
