Teen killed, another injured in Old Town shooting

CHICAGO – At least 6 people were killed and 16 others wounded in shootings across Chicago from Saturday at 8 p.m. through Sunday morning.

One of those shootings happened around 3:15 a.m. Sunday on the Near North Side.

A 17-year-old boy was killed and another critically injured in the Old Town neighborhood.

Police say the boys were standing outside in the 1300 block of N. Hudson when someone in a dark car drove by and fired shots.

The boy who died was shot in the chest and back and was pronounced dead at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

The other boy was shot in the chest and head and taken in critical condition to Northwestern.

No one is in custody.
