Brain Boosting Foods

What we’re putting on our plates can actually help give our brains a boost if we think before we eat! The Balanced Babe Sarah Baker is teaching us how foods can help our brains, and which foods to reach for.  We also put it all into practice with a brain-boosting salad and a brain-healthy drink to match.  Here’s how to make them:

Brain-Boosting Salad:

2 cups spinach

1 avocado

1/2 cup blueberries

1 handful of nuts

1/2 cup beets

drizzle of olive oil

drizzle of balsamic vinegar

1: Dice the avocado and beets

2: Add all the ingredients to a salad bowl

3: Top with olive oil and balsamic oil

4: Toss together and serve!

Pomegranate Matcha Spritzer:

1 cup sparkling water

1-2oz of pomegranate juice (depending on flavoring)

1 tsp of matcha tea (cold brew blend preferred)

1 sprig of rosemary

1: Muddle the rosemary Then add it to a glass

2: Add the sparkling water to a glass

3: Pour the pomegranate juice

4: Add the matcha tea and stir

5: Enjoy!
