Tips:

Turn off your news feed. Social media and 24/7 news coverage of political fighting can exacerbate stress. Read just enough to stay informed.

Take time for yourself, go for a walk, do some deep breathing or stretching, play with your children or the dog, spend time with family or friends, LAUGH!

Be aware of how often you discuss the election with friends, family or coworkers and what feelings – physical or emotional – that it is provoking. Avoid discussing it if there is a risk it will escalate.

Worrying about the election is not productive. Take action by voting, or volunteering with agencies on the issues you find important.
