CHICAGO — The partnership between the Chicago Cubs and WGN-TV dates back to 1948, which means we’ve created some fantastic commercials promoting Cubs games over the years. Here’s a look back at just a few of our favorites:

1 – This promo from the early 1990s celebrates beloved Cubs announcer Harry Caray — who knew he could do flips?!

2 – Back in 1992, WGN featured some of the Cubs’ youngest fans set to the tune of Randy Newman’s “I Love To See You Smile.” Gets us every time.

3 – This promo is also from 1992 and pays respect to the Cubs’ oldest fans.

4 – What’s your favorite Cubs memory? That’s the focus of this Emmy Award-winning spot from 2011. Good stuff here.

5 – This 2015 promo quotes Cubs’ President of  Baseball Operations Theo Epstein as saying, “There’s a day coming when all of our young of our young talent will be there. There’s a day coming when we will have fully learned how to win. There’s a day coming and it’s exciting.”

True, dat. Theo.
