BRONX, NY -- Less than a week after surgery to separate them, formerly conjoined twins are steadily showing signs of improvement.
The 13-month-old boys are recovering in separate beds allowing parents, Nicole and Christian, to cuddle up and share special time with each boy.
Doctors expect Anias to face bigger challenges during his recovery.
His surgery lasted six hours longer than his brother, Jadon's.
Anias has continued to have seizures and is being treated with medication.
Jadon suffered some temporary paralysis after surgery but that's now improving.
Both boys go back into the operating room today to have their dressings changed in a sterile environment.
Overall, doctors are pleased with their progress.
