Target pulls clown masks amid reports of clown threats
The creepy clown sightings which have spread across the country has one major retailer removing clown mask from its shelves weeks before Halloween.
Targets decision to remove clown mask from their stores just two weeks before Halloween comes after several disturbing reports of clowns trying to lure children into wooded areas across the country.
“We had a few masks in stores, which we began to pull last week,” a media representative of Target told ABC News. “We also have edited down our assortment online. You’ll still find clown masks there, but we made the decision to pull back on the number.”
In the last few months, people wearing creepy clown masked have been accused of terrorizing the public in over 20 states.
Schools across the county have even closed temporarily due to threats of violence from masked clowns.
Target officials said they have not pulled friendly clown costumes with from their stores, those can still be purchased online or in stores.
