WGN’s Amy Rutledge and Erik Runge took a trip to Wrigleyville to see how Cubs fans are feeling as their team heads into the playoffs.
Here’s what Erik wrote about the atmosphere:
Even hours before the first pitch, you could feel something special in the air around Wrigley. Expectations are high. The feeling inside the bars on the Cubs’ chances this year is about the same on the outside: cautious optimism. Some are more nervous than others. Confidence and the Cubs don’t usually mix well, but deep down, true fans believe.
