Chicago aldermen getting sweet deal on Cubs playoff tickets, report says

CHICAGO — More than 70 percent of Chicago aldermen reportedly are taking advantage of a lucrative perk to buy Cubs playoff tickets.

For a second year, Chicago aldermen and state lawmakers who represent Chicago districts have been offered the right to purchase playoff tickets.

The Sun-Times reports they can buy two terrace reserved or upper deck tickets for each home playoff game all the way through the World Series.

Three years ago, the city council approved the Cubs’ Wrigley redevelopment plans.

And just a few months ago, the council gave the Cubs limited rights to sell beer and wine in the open-air plaza next to the ballpark.
