Teen helps elderly stranger in need of assistance at Georgia store

GRIFFIN, Ga. — A 17-year-old boy brought his aunt to tears when he stopped to help a elderly stranger.

Connie Belle Jenkis Sweet was at Dollar General in Georgia on Sunday with her nephew, Senquavious Driver, when the teen spotted a elderly women in need of a helping hand.

“He helped her in the store and shopped with her and he walked her back out to her car,” Sweet told WAGA-TV. “She was only going in for a soda, but she barely could even get in the store.”

The 81-year-old woman told the Griffin High School senior she had recently fallen and hurt her back.

“I was in tears taking pictures because he didn’t hesitate to help her, and that made my heart happy,” Sweet said. “I’m so proud of him because I know and love the lady that raised him, my sissy.”

Sweet took to Facebook to praise her Senquavious, saying “I have an awesome nephew.”
