CHICAGO – A 21-year-old woman was shot and killed on Chicago’s South Side this afternoon.
Police say the shooting took place near 106th and South State in the Roseland neighborhood around 2 p.m.
Friends identify the victim as Adrianna Mays.
Witnesses say the woman had just gotten out of her car which was parked in front of her house. She had just set her her child in the car seat on the ground, when a car came around the corner and started shooting.
Witnesses say the gunmen were not shooting at the woman and she may have been caught in cross fire.
Police say she was shot in the chest three time.
