Report: Ventura out, Renteria in as White Sox manager

CHICAGO - Robin Ventura's days as the White Sox manager appear to be over.

According to a report from the Chicago Sun-Times, Ventura is expected to be replaced by bench coach Rick Renteria.

The official word could come as soon as Monday morning, when White Sox senior vice president and general manager Rick Hahn is scheduled to address the media.

Ventura's contract is set to expire at season's end.

Heading into tonight's game, Ventura's career record as manager stood at 375-433.
