BENSENVILLE, Ill. — A woman whose body was found near a suburban golf course yesterday was stabbed to death, officials said today.

Two people are in custody, according to the Cook County’s Sheriff’s office.  There are no charges at this time.

The 37-year-old woman, who neighbors identified only as Megan, died from a stab wound to the back, the DuPage County Coroner’s Office said in a statement citing preliminary findings of the autopsy.

The woman was found Thursday morning at the White Pines Country Club around 8:15 a.m. in Bensenville.

Police say the woman was the victim of a suspected homicide that occurred earlier in the morning in the 11500 block of Grand Ave in unincorporated Cook County.

Both the DuPage and Cook County Sherriff’s departments are investigating. They say there is no risk to the community.
