Rich/Heavy Fabrics
Part of the magic of Hamilton are the costumes throughout the show. Many of the characters can be seen in rich tones and heavier fabrics. We paired a plum colored suede blazer, from Dressbarn, with dark denim. The suede is a heavy fabric with lots of texture, similar to the heavy fabrics seen in the costumes from the show.  Male model featured clothes from Macy's - velvet blazer, grey shirt, black pants.

Lace and Necktie
Lace has made a huge comeback this fall and is also a key piece in many of the women’s ornate costumes in Hamilton. The decorative fabric highlights the Victorian time period and is now being used as accent details in today’s fashion like we see here. Lace insights are a great way to show a peak of skin while adding dramatic flair.  We also added a necktie. The silk necktie is layered over the blouse and is the prefect delicate accessory. Its signature detail of the Victorian era and adds a romantic detail to our look.

Military Jacket
Perhaps one of the most iconic looks of the show are the military style jackets that the majority of the male cast wears. Military coats are extremely popular this fall and we see a lot of females drawn to this look. The bold piping, rounded buttons, exaggerated shoulders and cropped silhouettes have been added to today’s military look to give it an updated feel. The jacket provides structure that can be layered over a great pair of denim, classic dress or you can get adventurous with some leather leggings.

Bell Sleeves
The bell sleeve look is everywhere this fall and also seen throughout Hamilton. While this trend references more recently the 70’s, it also lends itself to the Victorian era when many of the women’s dresses and even men’s shirts had a bell sleeve detail. For this fall, the bell sleeve is a new take on a top for going out and it makes a fashion statement.
