Vigil held in Champaign for victim of shooting

CHAMPAIGN,  Ill. -- An emotional vigil was held in Champaign Tuesday night for the victim of Sunday’s deadly campus shooting.

Students, family and friends lit candles and held a moment of silence for George Korchev.

The 22-year-old from Mundelein was killed over the weekend when someone opened fire as he walked by.

Three others were wounded, including his friend, who still has a bullet lodged in his back.

Korchev was a recent nursing graduate who would have started a new job yesterday.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1000 reward for information leading to the arrest of his killer.
