CHICAGO - Their quest to end a 108-year drought is ongoing but at least an 81-year old streak has been broken.
On Monday the Cubs won their 100th game of the season in a 12-2 rout of the Pirates at PNC Park. The 2016 team became the first Cubs squad to win that many games since the 1935 National League pennant winners.
Now the team, with little accolades left to accomplish, can pretty much turn their attention to the postseason. If only the Bears could talk about the postseason but that seems as far away as possible with an 0-3 record and a host of injuries.
Dave Kerner of Newsradio 780 came on Sports Feed Tuesday to discuss both teams with Jarrett Payton and Josh Frydman.
