Hazmat situation secure; CTA trains resume normal service in Chicago’s Loop

CHICAGO — CTA trains in Chicago’s Loop have returned to normal operations after a Level 1 hazmat situation was secured Thursday afternoon.

Crews hit a gas line near Madison and Wabash, and as a result, trains were standing at Adams and Wabash while authorities responded to the scene.

No one was injured during the gas leak.
