2-month-old girl shot on interstate in Wisconsin
GLENDALE, Wisc. — A 2-month-old girl was shot on Interstate 43 in Glendale, Wisconsin.
The highway was closed for about an hour Sunday evening as police investigated the shooting.
The North Shore Fire Department said that personnel were sent to the scene, along with Glendale police officers, shortly after 5 p.m.
After the shooting occurred, the driver of the car pulled off into a parking lot near the Hampton exit.
The details of what led up to the gunfire are still under investigation.
The child suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a children’s hospital for treatment.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office is in charge of the investigation, including determining the exact location of the shooting.
