‘Spice Boys’ on story behind viral hot sauce music video

A video parodying The Spice Girls, while promoting a hot sauce, has gone viral.

A family company called Mr. Singh's makes hot sauce over in the United Kingdom, and wanted to find a clever way to sell their product.

So, Mr. Singh (the dad), Kuldip (the older brother), Rav (the middle child), and Butch (the youngest) came up with an idea to parody The Spice Girls' "Wannabe" to tell people why they should buy their Mr. Singh hot sauce.

Dad, Mr. Singh, told WGN he was having nightmares prior to making the video because he never sang a song with English lyrics.

His son said the video was filmed around central London, and took about 15-20 hours to shoot. Mr. Singh said they got a lot of funny "what-the-hell-are-these-guys-doing" looks from people while they were filming.

The family says they've seen a massive increase of sales since creating these videos promoting their products.
