Teens rescued after getting stuck on suburban water tower

DEERFIELD, Ill. – A group of teens in the northern suburbs had to be rescued off a water tower Friday evening.

The teens got stuck atop the tower in Deerfield near Waukegan and Lake Cook Road.

Police spotted them on top of the tower and called firefighters to rescue them.

They were lowered off the platform one by one, by rope.

The teens were not hurt.

It’s not clear if they'll face charges.
