At Marquette Park on Saturday came a genuine welcome to the Convoy of Hope.
A lot of groceries and a big pie drew more than 7,000 Chicagoans in need. The event brought with it food, school supplies, veterans services, even health care focusing on women.
Inside the tents, NFL alumni came out to lend a hand, including former Chicago Bear Desmond Clark.
They were just a few of the more than 1,500 volunteers brought here with the Convoy of Hope.
To do well, a trademark for this organization which has served communities around the world for 20 years.
