FOXBOROUGH, MA – In a locker room that’s usually tight-lipped, it was his prose that broke up on monotony.

From discussing his animating career to his unique thoughts on Halloween costumes, Martellus Bennett was always one to give the creative soundbite. Its one of the things which media covering the team figure to miss as the tight end continues his career in New England after a trade last March.

As the Bears approached a meeting with Bennett in the preseason, it figured they would once again have a lot to talk about. During an interview with ESPN earlier this summer Bennett criticized Bears quarterback Jay Cutler along with his brother, comments that made nationals headlines.

But when the time came on Tuesday to hear from the tight end, he opted not to speak at all.

With a crowd of reporters waiting for him at one end of the practice field at Gillette Stadium, Bennett walked right by without stopping to meet with reporters.

But he did put on a bit of a show for the cameras. Bennett decided to take some time to play with his young daughter on the field after practice on the field.

Proud of you!
