PHILADELPHIA -- Protesters are hitting the streets of Philadelphia, a large mobilization by the group Black Lives Matter rallying near day two of the Democratic National Convention.

These protesters are angry, motivated and able to bring some large numbers together to protest recent police-involved shootings around the country.

But they have been peaceful. Police are grateful for that.

Illinois delegates to this convention meantime, are grateful to have had another day to plan their 2018 challenge to governor Bruce Rauner.

Asked about his daughter, Attorney Lisa Madigan, House Speaker Michael Madison said, "Ask her yourself," which of course we did. She’s interested but reluctant to seek the post while her father is house speaker.
