CHICAGO – Chicago police are searching for the person who shot a man while he was pumping gas.

The shooting happened at an Amstar station at East 89th Street and South Chicago Avenue on the city's Far South Side around 7:30 a.m. A 27-year-old man, a regular customer, was shot once in the leg.

Police say surveillance video recorded the offenders following the man into the store then back to the pump.

After he was shot, the gunman could be seen going through the man’s pockets before the two suspects hopped in a four-door silver Pontiac and took off.

The suspects remain at large.
