Shots fired on Eisenhower Expressway

CHICAGO -- A shooting shut down the outbound lanes of the Eisenhower Expressway for several hours overnight.

State police received reports of shots fired around 10 p.m. Thursday on the I-290 near Kostner.

A Chevrolet Monte Carlo was found shot on the expressway. Nobody was reported to be hurt.

Police closed off the outbound lanes of I-290 as they searched for shell casings.

All lanes reopened around 2:30 a.m. Friday.
