2 children injured by glass during South Side shooting taken to hospital

CHICAGO – Two children were injured Friday night on the South Side when someone fired shots near a Pizza Hut restaurant on the South Side.

The incident took place near at 67th and Stony Island in the city's Grand Crossing neighborhood.
The bullets shattered glass, injuring the children, who were sitting and waiting for their pizza.

The glass and shrapnel hit their hands.

The girls were taken to a nearby hospital for their injuries.

Pastor Corey Brooks tweeted that a member of his church staff was inside the Pizza Hut when it happened.

Chicago police are looking for the gunman.
