‘All clear’ after suspicious suitcase found on South Side

CHICAGO — Chicago police have confirmed the area is ‘all clear’ after investigating a suspicious suitcase found under a viaduct on the city’s South Side.

The investigation was held at 9100 S. State.

A bomb unit that was called to the scene opened the suitcase and found only clothes and personal belongings inside of it.

State Street has reopened in the area, and the scene is now clear.
