Girl missing from South Side located

UPDATED:  Briana Turner has been located

CHICAGO — Chicago police are asking for the public’s help in the search for a missing South Side girl.

Police say Briana Turner, 12, was last seen Friday on the 4600 block of South Lake Park Ave. in the city’s North Kenwood neighborhood. Turner is described as an African-American girl, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 90 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.


Turner was last seen wearing a white polo shirt, navy blue jeans and grey canvas shoes. Police say Turner may also have with her a multi-colored backpack.

According to police, she is known to frequent the area of 70th and Merrill.

Anyone with information on Turner’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or Area Central detectives at 312-747-8380.
