2 men shot while sitting on porch in West Town

CHICAGO -- Two men were shot in an apparent drive-by shooting while sitting on a porch in the city's West Town neighborhood.

The shooting happened just after 11 p.m. Thursday in the 700 block of North Ada.

Police say a vehicle pulled up to house and someone inside opened fire.

A 40-year-old man was shot multiple times. A 51-year-old man was shot in the mouth.

Both men were transported to the hospital where they are in stable condition.

There is no description of the offender's vehicle or the people who were inside.

People in the area say a shooting in West Town is pretty unusual.
