CHICAGO -- Bayside fans, the day is finally here: The Max, in real life. The colors, the tables, even "the" table.

Derek Berry is the one who’s brought the diner from the popular TV show "Saved by the Bell" to life.

"The main things that people will be looking for, the door, the pay phone, the tiling, it’s down to the T what it was on the show," Berry said. "Every single piece is lined up."

"When I first saw it, I thought, 'Isn’t that great, why didn't I think of that,'" said Ed Alonzo, who played Max no all five seasons of the show. "Now here I am and it’s fantastic."

Alonzo is still acting and still performing his magic across the country. He’ll be here to greet the first few days of customers, reliving his days on the show with fans.

Make no mistake, this is a pop-up concept. In just minutes online, $35 dinner tickets sold out for all three months. But don’t despair; you still have a shot at The Max.

"We actually held some room for limited walk up at dinner, and then all brunch and late night programming, which is after 11 p.m. daily, open to the public, no reservations," Berry said.
