CHICAGO — Chicago police have released clearer images of the suspects believed to have chased a couple into traffic on Lake Shore Drive during a robbery attempt early Sunday.

A source tells WGN that four suspects have been turned over to police by their parents. However, officials have not confirmed that.

Pamela Johnson was walking with her boyfriend, Eugene Jackson, on Sunday when a group started chasing them tried to rob them.

A gun was drawn and the couple ran onto Lake Shore Drive to get away, but they were both hit by a white pickup truck.

They were both taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where Johnson died of her injuries. Jackson’s condition is stable.
