PALMETTO, Fla. — Golfers received a visit from an unusual guest on the golf course on Sunday.
A monster-sized gator casually strolled across the course in Palmetto, Fla.
People who saw it say it was at least 15 to 16 feet long.
Locals say the gator actually pays the golf course a visit quite often.
“He doesn’t bother anybody and they don’t bother him, he’s like a mascot for the course, which is owned by Manatee County,” pro shop clerk Wendy Schofield told KSNV.
The biggest alligator ever recorded in Florida was 14 feet long, weighing 780 pounds, KSNV reports.
