In what seems to be an ongoing issue for the area, rising waters are covering many of the graves at the Waldheim Cemetery in Forest Park.

Waldheim Cemetery covers a vast area, with thousands of graves. Some of those are very close to the Des Plaines River and that's where flooding is an issue.

Dozens of graves are underwater right now. Some of the markers also look to be damaged.

This cemetery does have a storied past and has been here since the beginning of the 20th century, according to some of the gravestones which date back 100 years.

Among those buried there is movie producer Mike Todd, the third husband of Liz Taylor. She attended his funeral here when he died in a plane crash in 1958.

Also buried there is Rabbi Daniel Moscowitz, the former head of Chabad of Illinois and Burt Katz, the famous pizza maker who started Burt’s Place in Morton Grove. He died just about a month ago.
