TURNER, Ore. — A woman in Turner, Oregon had her dog stolen as part of a dispute with her landlord.

Katelin Taylor was ordered to move out of a house owned by Brooke Kempton, so she moved out.

But over the weekend, Kempton showed up at her door, accused her of stealing a saddle and took her dog.

Taylor’s father jumped onto Kempton’s moving pickup truck, and as she drove away, he fell off and injured himself.

“I’m just super thankful that my dad is okay through this whole situation,” Kate Taylor told KPTV. “Really, at this point, I just want my dog back.”

Neither Kempton nor the dog has been seen since then. Police want to talk to Kempton – at least to hear her side of the story.
