Robber rips off riders on CTA Red Line

CHICAGO -- Police are looking for a man suspected of multiple robberies on the CTA Red Line on the North Side.

Police say he first struck on the morning of April 12 at Fullerton and Sheffield, and robbed another passenger on April 21 as the train approached the North and Clybourn CTA station in the early morning hours.

In both incidents the suspect approached people who were alone and forcibly took their items.

Police are not providing details on what was taken during the robberies or whether the suspect was armed.

Riders are advised to be aware of their surroundings, even during their morning  commute.
