CHICAGO --  14th Ward Alderman David Moore defends his use of the "N" word when he criticized CPS officials, for removing Troy Laraviere as principal at Blaine Elementary School earlier this year.

Laraviere was a big critic of Mayor Emanuel, among others.

Moore said using the racial slur was meant to stress how black people in Chicago continue to be perceived as irrelevant at the table of power.
