CHICAGO -- Chicago has reached a milestone causing concern all across the city.

There have been 1000 shootings in the city since the beginning of the year.  That's about nine per day, and well ahead of the pace of the last several years.

At the Greater Harvest Missionary Baptist Church members gather Thursday night for a “Passover Crusade.”

Led by Rev Carey Gidron, churches from across the city are coming together to stop the gun violence and bloodshed.

Also in attendance was Nate Pendleton whose teen daughter Hidiya was gunned down several years ago and other families impacted by gun violence.
