CHICAGO — A Lakeview principal who’s been an outspoken critic of Mayor Rahm Emanuel and the school system has been removed from his job.

Blaine Elementary School Principal Troy Laraviere was removed from his job yesterday, as school officials investigate “alleged acts of misconduct”.

At issue is his opposition to the standardized PARCC test and a confrontation he had with former interim CPS CEO Jesse Ruiz.

Laraviere had also served as an education advisor to Jesus “Chuy” Garcia, who challenged Emanuel in the mayoral election last year.
