Man shot and killed on West Side

CHICAGO – A 32-year-old man was shot and killed on the West Side early Sunday morning.

Police say they found the man unresponsive near the intersection of W. 13th Street and S. Central Park Avenue in Lawndale around 1:25 a.m.

He had been shot in the head while standing near his car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Chicago Tribune talked to family who identified the man as Frederick Lee Blount.
