WASHINGTON — Sarah Palin is railing against “The Science Guy,” Bill Nye.

The former Alaska governor slammed him for speaking about addressing climate change.

“Bill Nye is as much a scientist as I am,” Palin recently said. “He’s a kids’ show actor. He’s not a scientist.”

She also urged parents to teach their kids to question what Nye is telling them about climate change.

“It’s something our candidates should be talking about and giving us their view on and hopefully acknowledging that it needs to become, in the science community, less political,” she said. “Otherwise, it leads us to believe that so many things coming from perhaps the scientists could be bogus. If this is bogus, you know, what else are they trying to tell us and trying to control us around if they can’t get this one right?”

Palin spoke ahead of the premiere of anti-climate change movie “Climate Hustle” in Washington on Thursday.

Nye is an Ivy League-educated engineer, who is best known for his children’s TV show, “Bill Nye the Science Guy.”

In terms of climate change, scientists overwhelmingly agree that the Earth is warming and that humans are the cause.
