4 critically injured in fire at Lakeview apartment building

CHICAGO -- Four people were critically injured in a fire at an apartment building in the city's Lakeview neighborhood.

The fire started around 1:50 a.m. Friday at a six-unit apartment building on the 3400 block of North Janssen Avenue.

Two men and two women were transported to hospitals in serious to critical condition.

One woman had jumped from a third-floor window and landed on a garage below. A man also jumped and landed on the concrete.

Firefighters rescued the other man and woman from the building.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
