GALAPAGOS ISLANDS — A video has recently surfaced of an underwater phenomenon known as the marine iguana.

Some like calling it the ‘Godzilla’ iguana.

Videographer Steve Winkworth’s captured the underwater video, at Cabo Marshall, of the six-foot long iguana in the Pacific Ocean near the Galapagos Islands.

The footage shows the iguana swimming and grazing on algae.

The animal is capable of diving up to 9-meters (30ft) into the water.

It then sends its slim body back to the surface for air.

The video was recorded months ago, but it’s had thousands of online views in the past few days.
