The 2015-2016 Golden State Warriors have tied the 1995-1996 Bulls record for wins in a season with 72.

SAN ANTONIO – Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman and Phil Jackson, you’ve got company in NBA history.

On Sunday the Warriors defeated the Spurs 92-86 in San Antonio to win their 72nd game of the season, tying the record that for wins in a season that also belongs to the 1995-1996 Bulls.

The record stood for 20 years but was tied by Golden State as they became the first team to beat the Spurs at home in the 2015-2016 season.

Steve Kerr’s Warriors can break the record with a win at home against the Grizzlies on Wednesday night.

Already one member of the 1995-1996 Bulls is sending his praise to the Warriors for tying their record for wins.
