Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Duncan Keith was ejected from Tuesday night’s game after swinging his stick and catching another player in the face.

Minnesota Wild center Charlie Coyle left the ice with blood trickling down his nose after the incident in the first period.

Because he was assessed the match penalty, Keith is suspended until the league reviews the play.

This isn’t Keith’s first suspension due to high sticking. During Game 3 of the 2013 Western Conference Finals, Keith swung his stick at the Kings Jeff Carter. He was suspended one game for it.

The Blackhawks ultimately lost to the Wild 4-1.
