BRUSSELS - Paris terror suspect Salah Abdeslam claims he only played a minor role in the November bombings and shootings.

Abdeslam was arrested in Brussels last Friday.

According to French media outlets, Abdeslam tried to diminish his role in the attacks when talking to investigators following his arrest.

He  reportedly referred to his older brother, Brahim, as playing a more important role.

BFMTV reports Abdeslam told investigators he rented cars and hotel rooms at his brothers request. He also said his  brother gave him a suicide belt.

Abdeslam told investigators he drove three suicide bombers to the Stade de France on the night of the attacks.

Belgian officials say Abdeslam has stopped cooperating with police since the Brussels attack.
