Several shot on South, West sides; 1 dead

CHICAGO -- One person was killed and three injured in a shooting Monday night on Chicago’s South Side.

Police say the four people were shot near 70th and Hoyne around 9 p.m.

The victims were taken to the hospital.  One victim was pronounced dead on arrival.  A second is in critical condition.

The other two people were in good condition.

Additionally,   at least three people were shot on the West Side in an unrelated shooting.

The victims were shot in the 5600 block of Wes Washington Blvd in the South Austin neighborhood.

All of the victims are in serious condition.

Details on both shootings were not immediately known.
