Lady Gaga, Taylor Kinney among thousands in this year’s Polar Plunge

CHICAGO – It’s a spectacle along the lakefront, in its 16th year.

Folks took part in the annual Polar Plunge at North Avenue Beach Sunday morning.

The plunge benefits Special Olympics Chicago.

The stars came out, including Lady Gaga, her fiance Taylor Kinney from “Chicago Fire” and his castmates, among the more than 5,000 raising money and awareness.

WGN’s own Dina Bair, as well as football players from Loyola Academy, also took the plunge.

The goal?  To raise $1.5 million.
