Oak Forest police officer among 3 accused of assaulting teen in California

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. — A police officer from Illinois is one of three people arrested in connection with assault of a 17-year-old boy.

Police in Huntington Beach, Calif., say officer Arthur Roman, 28, of Tinley Park, Ill., his brother Martin Roman, 25, of Lake Forest, Calif., and his brother’s wife Jessica Roman, 27, of Lake Forest, Calif., were all arrested Sunday for assault with a deadly weapon.

Police say the boy was stabbed during a verbal and physical altercation. He was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries and has since been released.

The three were released on bond, but the incident remains under investigation.

Oak Forest Police confirms the Officer Roman is with their department, and they were notified Monday night by Huntington Beach police. They say Roman is being put on administrative leave pending an internal police investigation.
