CHICAGO -- The body of a missing man was found by his mother near a park on Chicago's South Side.

The man's name hasn't been released. He was reported missing in December.

His mother says she went to Avalon Park Tuesday, after getting an anonymous tip Monday night.

She discovered his body near the tennis courts.

It's the same spot where someone first reported seeing the man's body on Jan. 5.

Police investigated back then, but came up empty.

It's still unclear how the man died.
